The aims of the Germination Testing
Revision of Germination definitions to the line with Gujarat state seed certified agency's (Government of Gujarat provide this Quality standards for Seeds) standards to maintain quality.
Revision of germination evaluation handbook to reflect quality assurance requirements, e.g. tolerances for normal germination or for abnormal germination & dead seed also.
According to seed species requirement, the same parameters can be applied to all Germination tests. Paper media is weighed which is used as germination media. Seeds are covered properly with germination paper.
Germination Testing :
The paper which allows proper drainage of water to seed but prevent the loss of material.
